In partnership with DCF’s “Me, Naturally” hair and skin care guide, the Wonderfund provides hair kits for children and teens of color when entering DCF care.
The kits contain texture shampoo and conditioner, hair oil, a comb, brush, pick, durag, bonnet, and pack of elastics so children can look and feel their best during an otherwise difficult time. By giving children and foster families these tools, we are giving children confidence and a sense of belonging that can help mitigate the lasting impacts of trauma.
By making a donation to the Wonderfund, you will help us provide hair care items like shampoo, conditioner, and styling products to children engaged with DCF.
